A profession that never goes out of demand
Nursing is a profession that offers individuals the opportunity to work in the field of human welfare — helping and serving the needy and sick. It is an integral and vital part of society, and nurses are considered the backbone of the entire medical field.
In Germany, vocational training in nursing enables entry into professional life in the field of nursing. The training to become a state-certified nursing specialist takes three years and is offered at our partner school, PflegeFachSchule (PFSH) Hannover. The program ends with a state examination consisting of a practical, written and oral part.
PFSH is one of the best and leading nursing schools in the Hannover region. In conjunction with its own modernised nursing homes, it offers an optimal learning environment — modern classrooms, on-site facilities, and excellent training opportunities, entirely at zero cost to students.
Theory and practice, combined by design
Vocational training in nursing, in accordance with the Nursing Professions Act, consists of theoretical instruction at nursing schools and practical training at healthcare facilities across all nursing fields. Theory and practice are combined in sections of several weeks throughout the three years.
The majority of practical training takes place at the training institution where the trainee has signed their training contract — including assignments in hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient services, psychiatric nursing, and paediatric care.
